TEA Minecraft Server

Rules and Recommendations

Rules

  1. Use your brain, server resources are limited (don't run bitcoin miner in ComputerCraft :D)
  2. Don't destroy work of others
  3. This server is mainly for TEA team. You can invite people you know... but not too many and you are responsible for them.
  4. Don't destroy spawn buildings and Sky Village above it. It's safe haven for new players (Spawn protection is disabled so be nice)
  5. Build your base at least 100 blocks away from spawn.

Recommendations, Tips&Tricks

  1. In Sky Village on spawn you can get a lot of stuff to help you start. Don't break anything but there are Loot Chests with a lot of gear and food and such. Loot chests are per-user so you can take anything and others will see their own stuff. Also there are some beds so you can sleep through night.
  2. You can use /spawn command to teleport you back to spawn.
  3. You can use /sethome command to set your home location and then teleport there by using /home
  4. If you press M you open in-game map. You can claim chunks(so others will not be able to build there) or set waypoints there by buttons in the top corner.

How to install (!!!!If you own Minecraft Java version!!!! - warez version is BELOW)

This guide will be describing Windows installation. Linux or MacOS steps should be similar but you are probably knowledgable enough to understand differences. MultiMC Launcher is recommended but you can use any launcher you like. This guide will assume English localization of MultiMC and Minecraft.

0. Prerequisities

Install Java 17+ (You can use for example Microsoft build of OpenJDK - HERE is x64 MSI)

1. Get Launcher

Download MultiMC launcher. Unpack zip and run MultiMC.exe. After choosing language you will be asked to choose which Java to use. If you have multiple version of Java, preferably use 17 as I used it to test everything. You should also set memory usage. For this modpack, 4096MB is absolute minimum. Recommendation is 6144MB or more. Turn off analytics (or leave it on, your choice) and finish set-up

2. Log-in to your Minecraft account

Now when you have MultiMC ready, you need to log into your Microsoft Account (old minecraft/mojang log-in is no longer possible). Click on Profile selector in top right corner and click on Manage Accounts. Click on Add Microsoft, and follow instructions.

3. Install Modpack

Click on Add Instance (top left). Choose Import from zip and put there link to modpack: https://mc.sysq.cz/tea_modpack.zip Optionally you can change name. Confirm and it will download and prepare pack (may take time... it's almost 0.5GB).

4. Launch Modpack and go grab a coffee

It will take a time. On first launch it will get a few libraries and such and then it will start Minecraft. However it may take a minute ore two before Minecraft window will even show up and then will load it even longer. Whole start-up may take around 5 minutes, be patient.

5. Put your SimpleLogin Passowrd

Server is set to offline (warez) mode so there is no native authentication. Thus we are using SimpleLogin mod. You can put anything there. It can be random but you need to use same thing if you ever reinstall modpack because it will be connected to your user on server. Also file .sl_password with password is stored in your .minecraft folder in plain-text so be careful if you share your client with anyone.

6. Play

Now you are in Minecraft, server is already stored in there so just connect there. Yes... connecting takes also a bit of time. If it doesn'ŧ work.. try again :D

7. Set up your Voice chat (optional)

Server has also Simple Voice Chat mod installed as interesting alternative to Discord. It adds proximity voice chat. Voice chat settings is available by pressing V. You can either use PTT(default) or Voice Activation. Also you can join groups which are not proximity-based and can be password-protected.

How to install Warez version (If you DON'T own Minecraft Java version)

This guide will be describing Windows installation. Linux or MacOS steps should be similar but you are probably knowledgable enough to understand differences. UltimMC Launcher is recommended but you can use any launcher you like. This guide will assume English localization of UltimMC and Minecraft. It uses UltimMC - "cracked" fork of MultiMC. If you like playing Minecraft, please consider buying it.

Download UltimMC launcher. Unpack zip and run UltimMC.exe. If Defender shows you warning, click on "more information" and then you can run it. Yeah, you are a pirate so you may be installing some viruses or who knows what... But I guess it's your call if you want to steal Minecraft :D After choosing language you will be asked to choose which Java to use. If you have multiple version of Java, preferably use 17 as I used it to test everything. You should also set memory usage. For this modpack, 4096MB is absolute minimum. Recommendation is 6144MB or more. Turn off analytics (or leave it on, your choice) and finish set-up

2. Create your username

Now when you have UltimMC ready, you need to create username under which you will play. Click on Profile selector in top right corner and click on Manage Accounts. Click on Add Account. Select Local and put username that you want to use and put anything into password field. It doesn't matter what's there.

3. Install Modpack
